Catcher in the Rye - Holden Caulfield as a Modern Day Odysseus       Years ago, a man named home run wrote The Odyssey. It told about King Odysseus of Ithacas mystical and perilous adventure home after the Trojan War. An odyssey can simply be defined as an adventure. Holden Caulfield, the main character in Salingers The Catcher in the Rye, had an odyssey of his own.
